Booking Conditions

Introduction

Gran Canaria Rural is a trademark of Viajes Canarias Rural s.l., with Tax ID number B-35.743.764 based in Calle Tenerife nº 24, local alto, 35008, in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Viajes Canarias Rural is a travel agency registered in the Canary Islands with the number I-AV-0000053.1.

These general conditions are an integral part of the mediation contract between the client and the company.


Contract and payment conditions

  1. The booking confirmation shall be made in the following way:
    Once the booking request is completed and the availability of accommodation is verified by our staff, the client will receive by email or fax the payment methods to confirm it.
    The client will be required to pay 40% of the total within 48 hours of the request to confirm the booking. The remaining amount of the rent must be paid no later than 30 days prior to the check-in date.
    If at the moment of booking confirmation, there are less than 30 days to the check-in date, the total amount of the stay will be charged.
    After the availability confirmation is sent, if payment is not received within 48 hours or a valid banking receipt, Gran Canaria Rural reserves the right to cancel it.
  2. In order to be valid, the cancellation insurance must be taken out at the same time as booking confirmation is completed
  3. The payment of the booking can be done through bank transfer or deposit in the account indicated in the availability confirmation, or by credit card, either by sending us a form signed or through the payment gateway. If you confirm the booking in our Office, you can also make payment by cash.
  4. Once the first payment is paid, we will send you a booking confirmation and when the second payment is settled, you will receive a voucher and the address with detailed instructions to reach your accommodation.
  5. Some accommodation requests the payment of a deposit when checking in. In this case the client will be informed before confirming the booking. This deposit will be requested and returned to the client, directly by the person responsible for giving you the key.

Prices and rooms

The prices of each accommodation, indicated on the website, are per night for 2 people for stays of 7 nights or more. In order to obtain the final price of each accommodation, please enter the selected accommodation and specify the exact dates and the exact number of people.

Keep in mind that children are included in the count. Excluding babies (0 to 2 years) as they sleep in cribs. In the case of needing a cradle, the first one is free of charge but it needs to be requested in your booking.

The price includes applicable taxes at beginning of season, Gran Canaria Rural reserves the possibility of changing them if they are changed once the season started.

The minimum stay is located on the tab of each accommodation, this may vary on specific dates such as long weekends, Easter, Christmas,…etc.

The booking for 7 nights or more can be confirmed at any time subject to availability. For stays of less than 7 nights, please contact our staff, as they can do a pre-booking that will be confirmed a week before the checking in.


Modifications and cancellations

If you need to make a change in the booking, please note that it can generate expenses depending on the proximity to the check-in date. In this case please inform our staff about this as soon as possible.

Once the booking is confirmed, the following cancellation fees will be applied:

  1. In the event of a cancellation up to 61 days before the start of your stay, the costs are 10% of total rent cost.
  2. In the event of a cancellation between 60 and 30 days before the start of your stay, the costs are 40% of total rent cost.
  3. In the event of a cancellation between 29 and 8 days before the start of your stay, the costs are 75% of total rent cost.
  4. In the event of a cancellation between 7 and 2 days before the start of your stay, the costs are 90% of total rent cost.
  5. In the event of cancelling a day before your stay or later, costs are 100% of the total rent cost.

Check-in and check-out time

The check-in time is always scheduled for the arrival day indicated in your confirmation at 5pm and the check-out time on the departure day indicated in your confirmation at noon, unless another schedule agreed when managing your booking. Changes to this schedule will depend on accommodation availability and the person responsible for giving the keys.

Booking with check-in time after 10pm can generate staff costs. If you plan your arrival after this time, please inform this to the person who confirms the booking.


Responsibility of Gran Canaria Rural

Gran Canaria Rural undertakes that the information offered by each accommodation is true, and it is not responsible for possible changes made by the owner, without informing this company.

It is also responsible for ensuring that the accommodation is booked for the client on the contracted dates and if due to force majeure reasons they could not stay there, they will be offered an alternative of similar characteristics or if the client wants, the total paid will be reimbursed.

You have available during your stay 24-hr customer service, in case of an incidence in the lodging during the stay or when you are in your way there.


Client's obligations

Inform about arrival time to the accommodation as well as the flight number and its arrival time (if applicable).

The customer shall comply at all times to the maximum number of people allowed, visits are not allowed.

Pets will be only admitted in those accommodation that detail that on their tab, it is forbidden in the rest of the houses and the client needs to inform if a pet will be included.

Please inform potential incidents observed in the house at your arrival.

Please provide all data of each one of the occupants at your arrival or when confirming your booking.

The client undertakes to leave the accommodation facilities in the same good conditions as they were found upon arrival. Being responsible of any damages caused during your stay.


Claims

Each accommodation offered have been carefully selected by Gran Canaria Rural, we are committed that the descriptions in our website are correct.

Gran Canaria Rural shall not be liable for any subsequent claim, if there is not any complaint at the moment of occupying the house or during your stay.


Recommendations

Clients should have the documents of each occupant.

If the client has any allergies or deficiencies in physical or mobility capacities, we recommend to inform this when making the booking since there may be some accommodation not adapted to their conditions. In order to avoid unnecessary cancellation costs we recommend having a cancellation insurance when confirming the booking.
